"Providing opportunities ... Improving lives"

HOME

Our mission is to enrich the lives of vulnerable children and to lift underserved young adults who were formerly in the foster care or juvenile justice system and/or grew up poor out of poverty. These children and young adults are in need.

The Child and Young Adult Resource Center is a Michigan Non-Profit, 501(c)(3), tax exempt corporation. This organization is operating under the name of my biological Mother, Phyllis Gruber. She died of pancreatic cancer the morning after I was born. I was told that my Mother dedicated her life to helping others, and this now serves as an inspiration for our work.

Our mission will be achieved through supportive, case managed, and career directed operations that offer programs, services and referrals. Using a holistic approach that treats the whole person, both body and mind, our overriding purpose is to offer opportunities that will improve the futures of those served.

We are based at the Blessed Hope Christian Church, 3804 Hazel, Lincoln Park, Michigan 48146 and primarily serve southwest Detroit and the downriver communities south of Detroit.
